CA1 Presentation

Given to us the dateline for the submission of our CA1 report and slides, we managed to finish it on time and did a final check together before submitting. As we were the first group to present on Tuesday, 26^th May, we were very nervous. Each of us were given certain slides to remember. At first we thought of having scripts with us so that it would mean less memorizing work for us. However, after discussing, we decided not to have any scripts with us so that it will allow us to have more eye contact. Luckily we were able to familiarize ourselves with our individual slides and managed to present our ideas clearly to the class. I’m glad we were able to finish our first formal presentation smoothly.  

Third Meeting with Petfie

We went over to Jiunn Ngee and Jerome's office last Wednesday, 20^th May, to discuss all our ideas, ways of executing it and datelines for all the plans. However, we were told by Jerome that one of our ideas given to them previously about having pop-up prompts on the app was being rejected as they did not have the technology to get it done. But the rest of our ideas were accepted and we were also given our goals for Petfie's social media platforms. Since we had some time, we continued discussing among ourselves about our plans and individual responsibilities. We had a rough timeline after being given the datelines for each plan to be executed. Jerome added us as editors onto Petfie's Facebook page that day which allows us to be able to help promote Petfie on Facebook anytime. We were also given the confirmation date of the Walk-a-dog event and the launch of Petfie for Android phones which gives us a better idea of how we can execute our plans in a more organized manner. With the timeframe, we will then come up with a more detailed tasklist so that we will be able to be overloaded and be clearer of what is needed to be done and by who. 

SMM CA1 Submission and Presentation

We manage to complete our report and slides and submitted them. Also, we had our CA1 Presentation on Tuesday. We were really nervous as we were the first group to present. We split the roles of the presentation slides equally and everyone had to be familiar with their slides. Through discussing, we decided to not bring notes and script for our presentation as it would make it difficult for us to have eye contact. We managed to pull it off, and we were glad that we were able to present our ideas to the class.

Our third meeting with Petfie

Last Wednesday on 20/5/15,we met with Jerome and Jiuu Ngee to decide on the final timeline in which we will be executing our plans based on . We had managed to get a rough timeline in which we will be following close to , and got approvals on some plans that we were discussing - Holding a mini event for Petfie app.However,we did not have all our plans to be approved of . In the previous meeting , we briefly discussed an idea that was rejected by Jiuu Ngee this meeting , it was the idea of having a pop up advertisement for the app.The idea was rejected because of time constraint . Instead, he suggested we focus mostly on the video tutorial for Petfie users especially the new ones .

Third Meeting With Petfie

Today, 20/5/15, we went over to Petfie's office to discuss our final plan for the timeline and to discuss about our proposal. We managed to decide on the rough timeline and get our approvals for certain plans, like the mini event for the Petfie app. However, we didnt manage to get approval for one of our plans, which is the pop-up advertisement for the Petfie App. Jerome said that they couldnt
do it because it would take too long of a time. Since we only had a few months to work with Petfie, he suggested that we focus on other plans like the video tutorial for petfie instead. 

reply from Petfie

We got our reply from Mr Jiunn Ngee earlier this afternoon. He said that the proposal we sent to him was fine and even gave us some examples which we can refer too. We went on to talk about our next meeting which most probably will be held on next Wednesday, 20 May 2015. We will then further discuss about when are we going to execute our plans for Petfie. Second Meeting with Petfie

We held our official meeting with Petfie on Thursday,7th May.I feel that the meeting was pretty fruitful because we managed to discuss with Mr Jerome and Mr Jiuu Ngee our ideas on how we are going to help them promote Petfie and also its launch of the Android version.Aside that, we were also able to discuss with them how we are intending to utilize Youtubers,Facebook-ers,Instagram-ers and even pet bloggers to create a better awareness for Petfie and the shelter that Petfie is working with.At the end of the second meeting , we were sent home with a task of preparing a proposal and create a detailed execution of the ideas we contributed and the timeline of all the events.Further and more detailed discussions can only be carried out after we meet with Mr Jiuu Ngee and Mr Jerome because they would have to approve our proposal before we can officially start executing .

Group meet-up

We met up today among ourselves to finish up the proposal we were asked to do by Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome last Thursday. We gathered to put all the parts that we separated among us to research and write about it. Also, we checked through the proposal again and again making sure that there wasn't a lack of information for our plans and there were no mistakes before sending it out to Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome. Hopefully we will get a reply soon from them so that we can execute what we need to do to help promote Petfie before the launch of their app for Android phones which is approaching and also have our report and presentation done after getting their approvals.  

Second Meeting With Group

The second meeting with Petfie on 7th of May was very meaningful. We successfully discussed about the plans we intend to do for Petfie. Our group came up with a proposal for Petfie, which has yet to be approved. Hopefully, by next week, we will be able to have a draft copy of the report and at least get started on the presentation.

The Second Meeting

We had our second meeting on 7th May, Thursday. This meeting was long and tiring for all of us, but we managed to discuss a lot of new and different ideas : use social media such as youtube, blogs to help promote petfie. Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome asked us to write a proposal which includes what we are our plans for Petfie and how are we going to execute it in order to see the results. We have decided to engage the bloggers or youtubers whom we want to ask to help promote Petfie and their upcoming events. Further discussions and confirmations of our plans will be made during our next meeting after we send our proposal to Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome.

Our second meeting with Petfie

 During out second meeting with Petfie our group discussed with both Mr Jerome and Mr Jiuu Ngee about our ideas to help them promote the app and also the Android launch of the app. Furthermore, we discussed about our ideas to help them promote the adoption of the 5 dogs which are from a shelter they are working with called BLK 2 Forever Canines which will be available concurrently with the launch of the android app. Some of the ideas that we cam up with were for example accumulating points through a code on the app whenever your friends acknowledge that you were the one that recommended them to the app. A certain number of people with the most number of points for that month will get prizes like pet food. Another example of one of our ideas would be creating a video tutorial of the app and post it on the description of the app to let potential users know more about how to use the app. After sharing with them our ideas, they really liked it and it was a really fruitful session. Right now we are working on our proposal and from there we will arrange our 3rd meeting and finalise our plans.

Our 2nd meeting

After the discussions we had on where and when to meet between Mr Jerome and us through emails, we had our second meeting today at his office. Although today's meeting was long and tiring for all of us, however it was a productive session. During that two hours, we managed to come up with quite a lot of new and different ideas on how we can help promote Petfie through social medias, bloggers and youtubers. After discussing all the ideas with Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome, we have somehow concluded on a few plans to help promote Petfie and their upcoming events. After today's meeting, we were asked to go back and prepare a proposal and include what we are our plans for Petfie and how are we going to execute it in order to see the results. For instance, how are we going to engage the bloggers or youtubers whom we want to ask to help promote Petfie. Hence further discussions and confirmation of the plans for Petfie will then be discussed during our next meeting, after we send Mr Jiunn Ngee and Mr Jerome our proposal.

After our first meeting

Last Tuesday we went to meet Mr Jerome for our first official meeting after our pitching session. Before we met Mr Jerome, we had a meeting among ourselves to discuss the questions we wanted to ask him. But instead of asking him on the spot, he asked us to email him instead. However, we discuss more on how we can use other platforms that other businesses are using to promote Petfie. Also, we were asked to go back and research more on bloggers who live in Singapore and often blog about pets. I sent to him an email with the questions attached and at the same time asked him about our next meeting to discuss further on how we can help promote Petfie through what we have researched on. After getting his reply after a few days, we finally decide to meet again on Thursday after the negotiations on where to meet. Below are the emails we sent before our second meeting. 

The Day Of Meeting

It was the of meeting Mr Jerome. We were lucky enough to have found his office without any troubles. We met Junnie, one of the workers, whom further helped us to gain more understanding of Petfie. We then went on to discuss the plans for Petfie, Although we didnt have enough plans for petfie, we were determined to do more researches. After the meeting, we were greeted with a heavy downpour. We were stucked at the building and were drenched by the time we reached the nearest mrt. It was meaningful and a fun meeting day with Petfie.

Successful Pitching

We have successfully pitched to Petfie in our first try. We learnt things about Petfie and why Mr Jerome started Petfie. All of our members thought it was really cool, which made us to choose petfie.

I have sent an email the day after the initial meeting for a follow up meet up for our plans for Petfie. So i have sent an email to Mr Jerome Chan, the founder of Petfie. Below is the picture for the email i sent.
